INGREDIENTS
1/4 cup milk
1 to 2 tablespoons (12 to 25g) granulated sugar
1 tablespoon (5g) unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup cold coffee
1 tablespoon heavy cream optional
Optional whipped cream for topping
Optional chocolate syrup for topping
HOW TO MAKE
In a small saucepan, combine 2 tablespoons milk, sugar and cocoa powder. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture begins to boil and is well combined and smooth.
Remove from heat and beat in cold coffee, remaining 2 tablespoons milk, and optional heavy cream.
Pour over 16-ounce ice cups (or jars), sprinkle with whipped cream and chocolate syrup if desired, and enjoy.
NOTES
Use 1 tablespoon sugar for a less sweet mocha, 2 tablespoons for a mocha that will be sweet enough even when your ice melts.
If you don't have cold coffee, you can brew a pot on double power and pour a cup of ice (about 1 ice heap per 1 cup of coffee).
OR pour hot coffee into a large cup and place in the freezer for 15 to 20 minutes to cool at least at room temperature.
