Yellow Rice

Material :

  • 2 cups of rice

  • 4 cups coconut milk (as much as regular rice, adjust the rice)

  • 1 lemongrass stalk, crushed

  • 2 lime leaves

  • 3 bay leaves

  • Salt to taste


Ground spices :

  • 5 red onions

  • 3 cloves of garlic

  • 1 tsp turmeric powder

  • 1 cm ginger

  • 1 tsp coriander powder

  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder

Complementary:

  • Fried chicken

  • dry tempeh

  • sliced omelet

  • Sambal Plow

How to make :

  • Wash the rice, then drain and set aside.

  • Heat a little oil, then saute ground spices along with lemon grass, lime leaves, and bay leaves until fragrant and cooked.

  • Add coconut milk and salt, cook until boiling. Taste correction.

  • Put the rice into the rice cooker, then add the sauteed spices and coconut milk, stir until smooth. Cook rice in a rice cooker until cooked.

  • Once cooked, stir the rice then close the rice cooker again and let it rest for about 15 minutes.

  • Serve the yellow rice along with the complementary side dishes.
